Blue Ash Fire Department accepting Sycamore Bridges donations

Blue Ash Fire Department patch - Aspire Achieve Advance

(June 26, 2019 - Blue Ash)

The Blue Ash Fire Department is now accepting donations for the Sycamore Bridges program, a non-profit organization that links those in need to those willing to help.

The program is organized by the Sycamore Community School District and features community advocates who serve as bridges between the donors and those seeking assistance.

All requests for donations are kept anonymous and approved through a local organizer.

Once approved, they are posted on the Neighborhood Bridges website and sent in an email to subscribers and potential donors.

Recent requests in participating communities included a single father in need of a vacuum, youth tennis rackets for a school summer lunch program, and gift card donations for a family who lost everything in a fire.

The program began in the Columbus-area in 2017 and currently serves 12 communities in Ohio and Alabama.

The Blue Ash fire department will accept donations daily between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the North Fire Station at 10647 Kenwood Rd.
