The roundabout at Malsbary Road and Alliance Road opened to traffic on Tuesday, September 12th. The single-lane roundabout is the first in the City of Blue Ash.

A roundabout is a circular intersection in which traffic flows counterclockwise around a center island. There are no traffic signals or stop signs in a roundabout. According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, roundabouts improve safety, reduce congestion, reduce pollution, save money, and are functional. To drive safely in a single-lane roundabout, it is important that drivers slow down, yield at entry to circulating traffic, and move counter-clockwise throughout the roundabout until exiting. The Ohio Department of Transportation has a video about driving through a single lane roundabout available here.

The roundabout is part of the Malsbary Road improvement project to provide more connectivity within the City of Blue Ash.
