Public Works Service Worker Kyle Secrist (right) received a Blue Ash Police Commendation for locating a missing child on April 17.

Secrist said he was making his typical brush pickup rounds when he spotted the missing 11-year old boy near train tracks on Cooper Road and called police.

The special needs child had been missing for up to four hours

“Without the diligent observations of Kyle Secrist, this incident could have ended much differently,” the commendation reads. “His willingness to help and keen observation skills lead to the missing juvenile’s safe return to his family.”
