Tom Stone named Chairman Emeritus of the Recreation Board

An original member of the Recreation Board was honored with the title of Chairman Emeritus at the June 9 City Council Meeting.

Tom Stone has retired from the board after serving for decades. He has been an integral part of making the Parks and Recreation Department what it is today.  

“Tom’s involvement with the Rec Board was a great example of community pride, not to mention some remarkable endurance,” said Blue Ash Parks and Recreation Director Brian Kruse. “His 44 years of service outdates not only every staff member but every recreation facility we enjoy today. Tom was on the original design team for the Recreation Center in the late 70s and his years of service thereafter were imperative to the roots and growth of one of Ohio’s most successful Recreation Departments.”
