SummitFest 2021 cancelled

(December 4, 2020 - Blue Ash)

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges it has created, the City of Blue Ash is announcing the cancellation of its 2021 SummitFest event.

SummitFest, a one-day country music concert and festival, was to be held on June 12 at Summit Park.

“We have a great tradition of bringing our community outstanding family-friendly events, however, to be responsible in these unprecedented times we had to make this difficult decision,” said Blue Ash Parks and Recreation Director, Brian Kruse. “We hope residents and attendees understand that we weighed many options, and we determined that our resources can be better utilized and more adaptable if we focus on smaller programming and events which engage more effectively with consistently evolving COVID precautions."

Similar to the options offered this summer, Blue Ash Programming and Events will continue to provide safe, smaller-scale entertainment throughout 2021.

“We realize this raises questions about our other large, extremely popular event – Red, White and Blue Ash 4TH of July Celebration,” said Kruse. “At this point, we are planning to celebrate the 4th of July as the State of Ohio will allow and in a way that will be safe and positive for the community. Whether that is a return to our traditional format or another creative form, we will evaluate those options in the coming months.”
