Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has selected Blue Ash Police Chief Scott Noel to be a member of the new Ohio Traffic Safety Council.

"Members of this council all share the same goal - to drive down the number of people killed in traffic crashes," said Governor DeWine in a news release. "Their combined expertise, resources, and efforts will be a force multiplier in saving lives.”

Governor DeWine announced the creation of the Ohio Traffic Safety Council on September 1.

It will be led by the Ohio Department of Public Safety, which includes representatives from federal, state, county, and local agencies along with traffic safety partners and advocates who are all dedicated to making Ohio’s roadways safer.

Together, they will identify the leading causes of motor vehicle crashes, serious injuries, and fatalities on Ohio’s roadways and take action to save lives using proven education, engineering, enforcement, emergency response, and public policy countermeasures.
