The Blue Ash Fire Department has been raising money for charitable organizations through events, "Fill the Boot" campaigns, and t-shirt sales.

The weeklong Light the Night event and the 9/11 Stair Climb raised $1,518 for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, an organization that assists the surviving families and co-workers of the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001.

The Fire Department has also raised $380 by selling pink logo t-shirts that they will wear in October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The funds will be donated to the Pink Ribbon Girls Foundation, which provides free meals, housecleaning, rides to treatment, and peer support for those fighting breast and gynecological cancers.
