Mayor Tom Adamec's Celebration of Life details announced

A Celebration of Life ceremony in honor of Blue Ash Mayor Tom Adamec will be held on Monday, September 9, at 6:30 p.m. at Summit Park in Blue Ash. Mayor Adamec passed away August 30, after a years-long battle with an auto-immune disease. He is survived by his wife, Diane, and two daughters. Adamec was 65.
The Celebration of Life ceremony will take place on the stage under the Summit Park Observation Tower. It will be open to the public and will be held rain or shine. Following the ceremony, guests will be invited to view a memory display located in the North Tower Room at Summit Park.

For the public attending Mayor Adamec’s Celebration of Life ceremony:
Follow police/staff instructions for traffic and parking at Summit Park. Handicap parking will be available for those with proper license plates/tags at the Summit Place entrance (Gate B) and marked with signs. General parking (Gate C and D) is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Staff-driven golf carts will be available to transport elderly and disabled members of the public to and from their vehicles. During the service, seating will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. The ceremony is expected to last 45 minutes. Public restrooms will be located behind the stage near the Nature Playscape.
For the media:
The media is invited to attend to take videos and photographs, however, the Adamec family is asking for privacy at this time and will not be granting interviews, and is asking that the privacy of friends and others in attendance be respected. The media will have a designated staging area under the North Pergola adjacent to the Summit Park Great Lawn. Parking for media will be located in the overflow parking lot. For patrons of Summit Park:
The Observation Tower, Tower stage, playground, Nature Playscape, and dog park will be temporarily closed during the ceremony. Other areas may also temporarily close as needed. These closures will be marked with signs or barriers. Thank you for your patience and understanding as guests observe the Celebration of Life ceremony for Mayor Tom Adamec. The restaurants and Great Lawn will remain open. Restaurant patrons have first-come, first-serve parking at Gate A.
For motorists driving near Summit Park:
We ask for your patience as there may be slow traffic as guests arrive and depart from the Celebration of Life ceremony for Mayor Adamec. Follow signs and police/staff instructions as they direct traffic near Summit Park.
