Update: New Police Department K9's name revealed

Blue Ash police announced the name of the new K9 on social media on September 23.

Join the Blue Ash Police Department in welcoming a new friendly, furry-faced addition to the police force - an 18-month-old Dutch Shepard K-9!

She loves hugs and meeting new people, but she is also going to have a nose for crime-fighting.

Today, she begins her training at Shallow Creek Kennels in Pennsylvania in the detection of narcotics.

Officer Erik Nelson will travel to Pennsylvania to train with her for four weeks starting in late September.

She will be hitting the streets with Officer Nelson in the new Community Impact Unit in late October.
