(June 6, 2019- Blue Ash)

With four roundabouts in the works, the City of Blue Ash will continue to provide educational outreach, events, and programs to keep citizens informed.

Construction will begin mid-summer on the multi-lane roundabout at Glendale Milford Road and Lake Forest Drive in front of Summit Park. Al Neyer is constructing this roundabout as part of the Neighborhoods at Summit Park development project. Glendale Milford Road will remain open to traffic during the construction process. Temporary lane closures should be expected at various times throughout the construction.  Lake Forest and Summit Place may be closed at Glendale-Milford Road for short durations during the construction.  This roundabout is expected to be completed in the spring of 2020.  Click here to see the rendering.

Then in 2021, construction will begin on roundabouts at Plainfield Road and Hunt Road, Plainfield Road and Peppermill Lane, and at the entrance to the Kroger on Hunt Road.

A roundabout golf cart course, which was an educational and fun hit at the recent Touch-A-Truck event (video here), will also be available for citizens during the first few hours of SummitFest and other Blue Ash events.

On June 18th, the City of Blue Ash will hold an open house for citizens to view and comment on preliminary plans for the three roundabouts scheduled for 2021.  Details on the event can be found by clicking here.

What is a roundabout?  Are they safer than traditional intersections? How do roundabouts affect traffic congestion? Answers to these and other questions are in the FAQ here.
