BAFD Promotes 3 Firefighters to Lieutenant

The Blue Ash Fire Department recently promoted three firefighter/paramedics to the position of lieutenant. Blue Ash Mayor Tom Adamec swore-in Scott Goldschmidt, Jim Gallo and Jake Bresnen on March 15.

Lt. Scott Goldschmidt stared his fire services career in 2010 and worked with several other departments before joining Blue Ash in 2011. During his time with BAFD, he has received certifications including Fire Officer 1, Fire Officer II, Fire Instructor, Live Fire Instructor, and Rescue Technician. In 2017, Lt. Goldschmidt was recognized as Firefighter of the Year.

Lt. Jim Gallo entered into the fire service as a cadet with the Reading Fire Department in 1994 and joined the Blue Ash Fire Department in 1999. In 2001, he became a member of the Hamilton County Urban Search and Rescue Team and currently serves as squad leader. Lt. Gallo is also an active member with the Blue Ash Firefighters Local 3203 organization and currently serves as president.

Lt. Jake Bresnen joined the Blue Ash Fire Department as a full-time firefighter/paramedic in 2013. During his career with BAFD, Bresnen become a Fire Safety Inspector, CPR Instructor, Car Seat Technician, Confined Space Technician, HAZMAT Technician, Rope Rescue Technician, Ice Rescue Technician, and received his Fire Officer 1 certification. In 2018, Jake was named Firefighter of the Year.
