Construction on new roundabout project to begin in September
The City of Blue Ash expects to begin construction on a new roundabout project in September with road closures beginning in October. The roundabout will be located at the new Plainfield Road and Parkview Drive intersection, which is the entrance to the Daventry neighborhood. The roundabout will accommodate two lanes of traffic, pedestrians and bicyclists.
Ford Development will begin construction on a secondary connection to the Daventry, via Malsbary Road, on September 4th. The main portion of this connection is expected to be open to traffic by the end of September. There will be no closures during this portion of construction.
Once the connection at Malsbary is open, Ford Development will fully close Plainfield Road to through traffic from Glendale-Milford to Cooper Road. This phase of construction is expected to begin in early October and last 10 weeks.
During road closures, local traffic will still be permitted to Carpenters Run, on the north portion of the project, and to Timbers Drive on the south portion. A detour will be set up to divert normal through traffic to Reed Hartman Highway in order to bypass the construction area. Please view the detour map here.
