City of Blue Ash to Host Annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony

The City of Blue Ash will host its annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony on Monday, May 29. The parade will begin on Reed Hartman Highway and Cooper Road promptly at 10:15AM. The parade will proceed east on Cooper to Kenwood, south on Kenwood to Hunt, east on Hunt and end at the Bicentennial Veterans Memorial Park at Blue Ash Towne Square. A special ceremony will take place after the parade at approximately 11:30AM.

More than 55 groups will participate in the parade, which range from military and non-profit organizations to local businesses and community groups. 911Steel, a traveling memorial to the September 11th tragedy, will be participating in this year’s parade. The keynote speaker will be Major General (Ret) Leonard M. Randolph, Jr., M.D. Dr. Randolph was the first African American to be promoted to General Officer in the United States Air Force Medical Service, and was the first African American to hold the position of Deputy Surgeon General in any military service. The Cincinnati Warbirds will perform a flyover, weather permitting. The 338th Army Band from Columbus, Ohio, will also perform.

The Blue Ash/Montgomery Symphony Orchestra Memorial Day Concert will begin at 6PM at Towne Square.
