Captain Roger Pohlman - Deputy Chief Patrol Services Division

Captain Roger Pohlman has been a police officer for 24 years and began his career as a State Trooper assigned to the Wilmington Post.  Captain Pohlman has been with the City of Blue Ash since 2004 and served as a police explorer with the Blue Ash Police Department from ages 13-21. Captain Pohlman has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati and is a graduate of the Police Executive Leadership College (PELC) as well as a Certified Law Enforcement Executive (CLEE).  While at Blue Ash he served as a Patrol Officer, Bike Officer, Field Training Officer, patrol sergeant, Field Training Officer Coordinator, and a lieutenant commanding both Administrative and Patrol Bureaus. He has served as the Commander of the Hamilton County OVI Task Force for the past 10 years. He was awarded district Trooper of the Year and a Meritorious Life Safer Award.
