Blue Ash, OH (8/4/17) – The inaugural Hazelwood History Walk-A-Thon will begin at 9AM Saturday, August 12th at the Hazelwood Community Center, located at 11090 Oak Avenue in Blue Ash.

The 2 mile long walk-a-thon aims to share the community’s unique history while also supporting a community justice scholarship at University of Cincinnati Blue Ash. Participants will learn about the culture and heritage of Hazelwood through organized visual aids and site visits.

The Hazelwood History Walk-A-Thon will directly benefit the Willa A. Washington/Hazelwood Community Association Community Justice Scholarship at UC Blue Ash. The scholarship was formed two years ago as collaboration between the Blue Ash Police Department, UC Blue Ash, and community members. It is granted to eligible students who plan to attend UC Blue Ash, with a preference for students from the Hazelwood community.

The registration fee for adults is $10 in advance or $15 the day of the walk-a-thon. Students can pay $5 in advance or $10 the day of the event.
