(August 22, 2019 - Blue Ash)

The Blue Ash Police Department is expanding the hours of its annual Open House to make the event even more family-friendly.

From 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on September 18, the flashing lights and loud sirens will be turned off to make the event welcoming for children and adults with sensory issues.

There are families who may have never experienced the fun of the open house because their loved one with sensory issues would be too overwhelmed by the noise and lights.

Therefore, there is a designated time for them to see the Blue Ash police cars, drones, equipment, and tour the police station, without the fear or uneasiness of overstimulation.  We ask that guests and visitors respect this quiet, sensory-friendly time.

The Open House is from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the sensory-friendly hour kicking off the event from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Open House at the Blue Ash Police Department, 4343 Cooper Road, features law enforcement vehicles, crime-fighting gear, drones, Segways, police station tours, free food, and freebies.

The event is free and open to the public.
