Kendall Amos steps toward fire truck

A Blue Ash Elementary school student with special needs had a very exciting ride to school on Monday, May 20.

Ten-year-old Kendall Amos got to hop in the front seat of a Blue Ash Fire Department fire truck, thanks to a silent auction bid at the Blue Ash Elementary Haunted Festival.

Kendall has Angelman syndrome, a genetic disorder that she was diagnosed with at age two, according to her father, Jae Amos.

He said his daughter loves transportation and was thrilled to be getting a very special ride to school.

Kendall rode on the fire truck from the North Fire Station in Blue Ash to  Blue Ash Elementary School.

Dozens of her classmates cheered her arrival.
