Councilman Rob Ryan represents Ward 1.
Councilman Rob Ryan was first elected to Blue Ash City Council effective December 1, 2015.
"I am honored and deeply appreciate the residents of Ward 1 electing me to Blue Ash City Council. As the representative for Ward 1 and as part of the City Council team, I intend to keep Blue Ash moving forward in a responsible and respectful manner.
I fully support Blue Ash’s historically balanced plan with one third devoted to residential, a third geared toward business, and the remaining third for parks, recreation, and open space for all to enjoy. That simple 1/3 ratio or basic philosophy has been an important element in making Blue Ash the city it is today. All plans need small changes along the way to help us maintain our focus on what is important. You will find my approach is to listen to residents, look for areas where the City can improve, and work hard for those that work, have a business here, but especially for those that call Blue Ash home.
On a personal level, I have four children and two grandchildren. My wife Eileen of 41 years is a Doula, who helps mothers during labor and birth. I am a recently retired aerospace/mechanical engineer who has worked as a design, project, and system engineer in satellite and aerospace propulsion systems for GE and with NASA. All those jobs in my career required the ability to work in a team; I intend to use those skills to the best of my ability as a member of City Council.
Best wishes to you and your loved ones for a wonderful holiday and thank you for electing me to Blue Ash City Council."
