Licorice is a 5-year-old Golden Doodle. He was adopted by Captain Roger Pohlman and his family from 4 Paws for Abilities in Xenia as a “Fabulous Flunky”.  A Flunky is a service dog in training that didn’t quite make the cut for various reasons.  After he was adopted, he then became a certified therapy dog through Therapy Dogs International.  He comes to work daily with Captain Pohlman and roams the police station soliciting therapy pets from everyone.  Licorice also welcomes visitors to the police department and visits with other Blue Ash employees.  He also walks the halls of the Sycamore Schools putting smiles on kid’s faces.  In his off time, Licorice enjoys spending time chasing rabbits and squirrels in the yard and of course napping after a busy day.
