Public Works Director

Gordon PerryGordon Perry is the Public Works Director for the City of Blue Ash.  He started with Blue Ash in January 2011 and has more than 19 years of public and private engineering and construction experience.  Gordon’s duties with the City of Blue Ash include directing and coordinating public works activities, including solid waste collection and disposal, street and drainage construction and maintenance, building and grounds maintenance, roadside maintenance, facility construction and fleet maintenance.  The City of Blue Ash has more than 160 lane miles of roadway, 13 miles of sidewalk, 75 miles of storm sewers, 390 vehicles and pieces of equipment and over 400,000 square feet of facilities under direction and maintenance by the Public Works Department. 

Gordon is an Ohio native with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Ohio University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio.  He is a member of the American Public Works Association (APWA), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and Public Works Officials of Southwest Ohio (PWOSO).

Gordon is passionate about the maintenance and improvement of public infrastructure and the preservation of these facilities for the benefit of current and future generations.  He is also interested in promoting the Public Works industry to children in order to share the importance of public infrastructure and to promote the Public Works field to younger generations. He also helped put together the first Blue Ash Public Works Week “Touch-a-Truck” event in 2014.
