Chuck FunkAs the Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Blue Ash, Chuck Funk oversees the strategic planning for all comprehensive programming related to the Blue Ash Recreation Center, Cooper Creek Event Center/Golf Clubhouse, Summit Park and all other spaces related to the success of developing Blue Ash as a desirable community to live, work and play. 

In his career, Chuck has had the opportunity to serve as “project manager” on several large recreational facility projects. As the Parks and Recreation Director for Blue Ash, he managed expansions of the Blue Ash Recreation Center in 1994 and again in 2009. He also managed construction of the Memorial Bell Tower in Blue Ash and the Cooper Creek Event Center/Golf Clubhouse.

Chuck is currently managing the development of the 130-acre Blue Ash Summit Park which began in the Spring of 2013. Previous to his experience with Blue Ash, he managed the renovation and expansion of the Central Missouri State Multipurpose Building and the construction of the Germantown Centre (Recreation Center and Performing Arts Facility) in Memphis, Tennessee. 

Chuck graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation Management from Missouri State University and has twenty eight years of experience in the parks & recreation field. He is currently a member of the National Parks and Recreation Association (NPRA) and Ohio Parks and Recreation Association (OPRA).
