In 2004, the Police Department began submitting statistics to the state using the Ohio Incident-Based Reporting System (OIBRS). OIBRS is Ohio's version of the FBI's National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS). OIBRS is a voluntary crime reporting program in which Ohio law enforcement agencies can submit crime statistics directly to the state and federal government in an automated format. Data from OIBRS submissions is summarized in the Department’s annual reports.
