The 2010 Blue Ash Memorial Day Parade and ceremonies are set for Monday, May 31 (Memorial Day). This year’s event marks the 58th annual community event and parade dedicated to recognize contributions by veterans (an co-sponsored by the Blue Ash Civic League). The parade will begin at 10:15 AM, and the route will be the same as past years: beginning on Reed Hartman Highway near Cooper Road, traveling east on Cooper to Kenwood, south on Kenwood to Hunt, and east on Hunt to the Veterans Memorial, where the ceremonies will be held. The Memorial Day ceremonies will take place after the parade (usually begins at approximately 11:30AM).
The featured military band for this year’s parade and ceremonies is the 100th Army Band based in Ft. Knox, Kentucky, and the keynote speaker is Major General Harry “A.J.” W. Feucht, Assistant Adjutant General for Air and also serves as Commander, Ohio Air National Guard. For more info, call 745-8550.
